Discover Pueblos Blancos: Ubrique

One hour far from the Serranía de Ronda, on a hole between the Natural Parks of Los Alcornocales and Sierra de Grazalema, we find the great white village of Ubrique. A walk through the streets of its old town, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, within the category of Historic Site, is an activity not to be missed on our visit to the white villages of the Sierra de Cádiz.

We will follow a circular route through the streets of the Historic-Artistic town. Our walk will show us all the cultures that have coexisted in the area (Roman, Arab, Middle Ages, ...), as well as the traditions and ways of life of our neighbours.

In addition to its fountains, viewpoints, cobbled streets and white houses, we will be able to see buildings and monuments, such as:

• Convent of Capuchinos (where the Permanent Exhibition Manos y Magia en la Piel (Hands and Magic in the Skin) is located).
• Old Church of San Juan de Letrán (nowadays the Interpretation Centre of the History of Ubrique).
• Hermitage of San Antonio.
• Plaza de la Verdura.
• Nuestra Señora de la O Parish Church.
• Hermitage of San Pedro.

We will finish the visit in Los Callejones Avenue, where we will find the main leather goods shops, the industry for which Ubrique is internationally renowned.
